WHAT IS ADHD

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

ADHD IS A DISORDER OF INATTENTION, HYPERACTIVITY, AND IMPULSIVITY

It disrupts focus, impulse control, and activitylevels, leading to challenges in academicperformance, social relationships, and emotional regulation, often resulting in reducecself-esteem and difficulty adapting to structured environments (Harpin, 2005; Harpin et al2016; Danielson, 2018)

Children with ADHD Learn more through play

Friendships can have a positive impact on a child's self-esteem and ability to navigate social situations thoughout the rest of their lives. Child psychologists have found that early childhood friendships contribute to children's quality of life and help them adjust to changes in their environment as well.

HOW CAN WE DESIGN A PRODUCT THAT HELPS
CHILDREN WITH ADHD LEARN WHILE MAKING FRIENDS?

5 MAIN PAINPOINTS

1. Desire for attention and sharing: ADHD children often seek attention and love to share but may struggle to consider peers’ feelings, leading to misunderstandings.

2. Need for physical activity to release energy: Active play is crucial for managing energy and engagement, as static activities like stress balls or music are less effective.

3. Need for extensive verbal expression: Verbal communication helps ADHD children engage and feel included, making talk-friendly toys ideal for group play.

4. Motivation through reward systems: Clear goals and rewards encourage focus, calmness, and a sense of accomplishment, supporting social participation.

5. Engaging scenarios: Immersive, imaginative play, like underwater or space themes, captures interest, fosters creativity, and encourages collaboration.

LET US LISTEN TO THEIR VOICES

"How can I join them?"

"How do they stay still?"

"It's so hard for me to concentrate right now."

"Why can't I just focus on one thing?"
